Search Drivers. Feels like a well thought out package, and includes a nice, padded slipcase, as well as a tool to manually eject the disk. Not that I'll ever use the tool, but it's a nice touch and shows that they care.

This may be the case, but I have yet to find a computer that this works with. A shame, but I wasn't really expecting to use it without the AC adapter, anyway. Included USB cord is only 2 feet long, which is perfectly fine for use with a laptop; not so great if you have to plug into the back of a large desktop. Slot-load is a louder than most. Drive peeks out of the included slipcase.

Also, English-language support for this drive is a bit sub-par. Overall Review: Ignore the guy below who wasn't able to use his drive because he couldn't get his tray to eject. Of course he couldn't. This is a slot-loading drive; there's no tray to eject! You have to feel sorry for him a bit, though, if he managed to throw away a perfectly good, well-designed drive such as this just because he didn't realize it was tray-less.

Pros: It's about the size of an external floppy. Can be bus powered. Have burned a ton of DVDs, CDs, and a few lightscribe discs and it's been fast, reliable, and lightscribe looks better on this than an older drive I have. Plus slot loading, finally!

Pros: Bus powered when reading discs, compact, simple, just what I'd been hoping for. Cons: None, really: it would be nice to have bus-powered burning, but that's not realistic, and given the 5v power requirement, it's really easy to figure out a field-expedient source of power if you don't have the adapter along.

Overall Review: Definitely worth having. Sold by: Newegg Shipped by Newegg. Learn More. This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked. Out of Stock. Add To Wish List. Are you an E-Blast Insider? Laurence T. Verified Owner. Did you? Yes No. Pros: small, beautifull Cons: difficult to read all kind of disks. It almost doesn't work.
